Weller Product Recall - July 2010 |
| |
|
We have been informed by Weller that the power cord in certain soldering irons sold
between August 1, 2006 and May 12, 2010 may not function properly. This may result in the
cord breaking at the flex point where the cord is inserted into the handle. All units shipped
outside these dates fully meet their quality standards. If your iron is affected, please STOP
using it immediately.
|
 |
| |
To determine if your product is affected verify the model number is one of the following:
- W100PG, W100PGMX - 100w, 120v Heavy Duty Soldering Iron
- W100P3 - 100w, 120v Heavy Duty 3-wire Soldering Iron
- W100PD3 - 100w, 120v Heavy Duty 3-wire Soldering Iron
|
Next, check the date code (month, year) that appears on the heating element
is between August 2006 and May 2010.
NOTE: Weller's 80 watt soldering irons are NOT affected by this recall.
