I do not often post to Glass Chat but do have a suggestion this time. I have seen stained glass panels remain outside for many years in perfect condition. The panel is enclosed in plexiglass sheets and a wood frame. Having been a paint mfg for 43 years here is a suggestion. First stain the wood frame with a stain to block the UV rays which is what deteriorates the wood. Then coat with a clear Marine Varnish, eithe gloss or satin finish, like that used on boats. This also blocks UV rays. It is expensive but you can purchase a small can. Seal the inside edges of the frame with clear silicone caulk. Hope this helps.
