I need some help/guidance please.....right now I use a flux cleaner after my pieces are done, rinse it in water, let dry, then wash the piece again with a light coating of DAWN dish soap, rinse really well, let dry, then patina (IF needed), then use polish. MY question is... will a mixture of baking soda & water do the same thing as the flux cleaner? AND if so what would the ratio of the 2 things be? Also I have heard that white vinegar can do the same thing!! IF true same thing--what would the ratio of water to white vinegar be? AND then would I still use the dawn soap??
